Flash for Creating e-Learning
I strongly recommend use of Flash technologies for e-learning content.
Becouse Flash allows interaction, live data, video, etc. Macromedia Flash Mx 2004 and Actionscript 2.0 has also changed the way of RIA’s development.
Here is an Online Forum at e-LearningGuild.com about Macromedia Flash & e-Learning.
I have some examples and best practices about flash and LMS integration and will post some goodies here soon.
Flash did not start out as a tool for developing e-Learning, but it has become the single most used tool by e-Learning developers, especially since its e-Learning features have been enhanced.
Some questions from forum to be answered:
What is LMS?
Internet based software that deploys, manages, tracks and reports on interaction between the learner and the content & the learner and the instructor. In particular, learning management systems perform student registration, track learner progress, record test scores, and indicate course completions, and finally allow instructor trainers to assess the performance of their students. See also LCMS and CMS.
What is RIA
Rich Internet Applications are the expected next iteration of software development. Combining the strengths of Web and desktop applications, RIA’s can capitalize on the trend in high speed and wireless Internet connections and the performance of local file system and processing access.
